How'd he do that?

Because, really, I don't see one in there. Do you?

This came from a scan of a comic I got from work. Marvel's The Avengers - custom edition 13. These comics appear at work like once a year. We just hand them out to all the customers and its a good way to distract screaming children when the situation calls for it.

The guys in here are Clint "Hawkeye" Barton and Death Adder, plus some random civilians.

I was reading this comic while waiting for customers to show up. I had a stack of these comics next to me so I had ample opportunity to read them. I brought a copy home and put it in the scanner.

At some point in this story, Hawkeye is at an airport to surprise his friend, Joe from the national guard, when these terrorist snake people from the mercenary serpent society show up and cause trouble. They specifically target Joe because he has something they might want. Hawkeye takes out his bow and does what he does best... with the bow. I'm not gonna spoil the ending. This is the first time he takes out his bow and I noticed the above panel, his bow doesn't have a bow string and the the below panel, an arrow hits Death Adder in the head.

How'd he do that?

Maybe I'm making too big a deal about this. Hopefully some Marvel Comics nerd will comment on this and teach me something I don't know.
